Our Anniversary :)

Well...today is our 8 year anniversary! It's sinking in as I type it...8 years! That sounds like such a long time, but it has flown by....We are so grateful for the love and friendship that we have found in each other, but most importantly, we are thankful for our one TRUE foundation...that being JESUS! We were talking last night about how much we've been through, how we've changed, and how God has used the most unique of circumstances to change and enrich our lives. And, we came to the conclusion that He is not finished with us yet, so we are committed to the journey that He has set before us...and the journey that we are taking together....doesn't this sound like a 50th anniversary card or something? Ha! Anyway, just thought I'd take some moments to remember our marriage and thank God for our relationship and our 2 beautiful children. And, to think, when we first got married....I wasn't sure if I even wanted children....my, how I've changed.....
Here we are on the evening of Sept. 16th, 2000 at McEachern Methodist Church right before leaving for the night....

Finding Her Feet :)

So, it looks like Sailer has found her feet....this just makes me laugh hysterically, b/c I was cleaning up Noah's playroom, and I left Sailer in the floor in the office for a few minutes. I could hear her grunting and squirming....but, those are the sounds that she often makes when she's playing and rolling on the floor...so, when I peeked around the corner to check on her, this is what I saw! It took so much effort to get those little toes in her mouth..I guess b/c those little thighs aren't so little anymore..:)

Poppa Pendley's Birthday!

This evening, I walked the kids over to Poppa's house for some BBQ and cake to celebrate Poppa's birthday.....Jason was working, but he did get to come out and join us for awhile. :) Funny thing...it was Poppa's birthday and I didn't get one picture of him...oops! I will definately have to make up for that one....Poppa is one of Noah's FAVORITE people in the world! He was only concerned about 2 things...seeing Poppa and getting cake! In fact, he skipped the BBQ and went straight for the cake, and he had a terrible belly ache when we got home...guess we learned our lesson on that one. Anyway, here are a few pictures from tonight...

We got to Poppa's house during the 4th quarter of the UGA game, so Noah and Big Daddy got to finish watching it together..although Noah didn't really want to sit still. He wanted to climb and jump all over Big Daddy..hence the look on Big Daddy's face...:) He! I thought that was funny! (By the way, YES, Noah desperately needs a haircut. He even told me tonight..."Mommy, I need a haircut!" He basically has a shag! :)
Little Sailer looking up at Dede....

Sleepy girl...getting ready for bed after a busy night..:) One of my favorite times of the day is getting the kids ready for bed..sure, it can be chaos, but I give them SOOO much lovin! They both have my heart!

Sweet Girl....& Another Comparison...

I melt when Sailer looks at me like this...she is SOOO sweet...have I mentioned that before??? Hehe! When I took this picture, I automatically remembered a similar picture of Noah at around 7 1/2 months or so...I included it on the bottom of this post. Overall, I don't think that Noah and Sailer look that much alike in their baby pics, but these 2 pictures DO look similar....it's fun to compare!

A case of the giggles...
Here's Noah! Now, do you see what I mean??? I remember this like it was yesterday!

Mommy's Fun Time!

Just some random pictures from the last 2 days or so...sorry there are not many of Noah lately...when he's in school, that's my time with Sailer. I guess we bond by taking pictures..ha! Also, I'm trying to prove all of those people wrong that say..."you never take as many pictures of your second baby!"

Well..here's one of Noah. He was SO upset b/c Sailer would not cooperate when he wanted to kiss her nose....sometimes, he can get somewhat aggressive, but she just laughs. It's amazing to me how much she puts up with.....I guess she knows how MUCH Noah adores her..:)
We're in that "everything goes in the mouth stage." I don't know if Sailer is teething or not...she's not fussing, so we'll see....
She got tickled in her bed...and fell over. Except, I didn't get a picture of that one...sorry. I was trying to help her up...of course, she just laughed.
Sailer's little wave....for some reason, she has picked up how to wave...at 5 months! I don't know how, but she does it all the time!

Go Dawgs!!!

First of all, I'd like to mention that although I LOVE football season, I'm not one of those die hard UGA fans....sorry, Jason. But, I DO love teaching my kids about having team spirit! (I guess it's the cheerleader in me!). So, we had fun over the weekend taking a couple pics of the kids in their UGA wear. Noah was given his UGA jersey from Uncle Chad and Aunt Kristin, and so, of course, we had to get little Sailer her cheerleading uniform to match....IF she ever does cheer one day, I'll have to show her these pics...I think they're adorable. Our kids bring so much joy to our lives, and we love it! :)

Pictures From The Past....

Well...here's our little Noah...3 1/2 years ago during his first Fall season. He was 4 1/2 to 5 months here, so I wanted to post some of these pics to make a comparison with Sailer since she is a little over 5 months old now.
I actually came across this pictures on accident the other day when I was looking for a picture to send with Noah to school. I couldn't help but tear up b/c my precious little boy is not little anymore, and he has changed and matured beyond what I could've ever imagined.

Some of these pictures do not even resemble him now...it's amazing. He had reddish blonde hair, light eyebrows and light eyelashes. And, Sailer has all darker features...we cannot believe that her hair is staying dark for so long, and instead of getting lighter, it's actually getting darker! We can't imagine NOT having a blonde headed child, I guess! Anyway, Jason and I got a good laugh and had fun looking back at some of these pics..so, enjoy!

Off To School!

Well, it's that time again! Time for school! We are very excited about Noah's 1st REAL year of school. Last year, he was in a "mother's morning out" program, which did include a cirriculum, but it was mainly for "me" to have some time to myself. Last week was Noah's meet and greet with his new teacher, Mrs. Robin. For me, it was a huge deal that he got her for a teacher (I had secretly requested her!). I got to meet her back in January during enrollment season, and I was HOPING that we could get him in her class...she's SO MUCH fun, and has an incredible personality. I can't wait to see all of the things that he gets to do...anyway, he got his picture made at the meet and greet, and hammed it up as always. But, the best part of the meeting was seeing his little girlfriend from last year...Emma. She is also in Mrs. Robin's class! I love it b/c Emma's mom is awesome, and I will get to work with her during the class workshops and parties. So, as I mentioned, this will be like REAL school...we already had homework over the weekend, and I have already been recruited to help on 4 events! Geez! No break for me this year! :)

As I dropped Noah off this morning, one of the instructors came out to get him out of the car...we are not even allowed to walk him in. It was bittersweet for me....yes, I teared up as I drove off, watching him walk like such a big 3 year old with his blue preschool bag that they made for him. He was precious, and yes, I'm a sap!

**Just in case you're wondering why Noah is standing next to his alphabet cards in his playroom....first, that was where he wanted his picture made. Second, he wanted to review his ABC's before school.....ha! I told him..."I don't think you're going to have a quiz just yet Noah!"

Labor Day

Well..our Labor Day was pretty relaxing...for the most part. We met Jason's family around noon for hamburgers and hotdogs...it was nice just hanging out there. Here is Sailer with Darlene's mom, Tamer... a.k.a. "Nane." She doesn't get to see Sailer all that much, so she was excited to see her and especially to see how BIG she is getting!

This tummytime toy is so awesome and quite funny too! We put Sailer on this seat-like thing, and the idea is that she was supposed to turn herself around using her hands...and she could look at the different Disney characters.....etc. But, she just laid there and tried to eat the mat! Ha! I think if she had more time, she might have gotten the hang of it. Personally, I thought she just looked absolutely adorable hanging out on it...
Ugh...mommy, where are you?
Lovin' it when daddy totes me around!

Labor Day Weekend Continued...

My mother-n-law recently went to St. Simon's Island...whenever she is there, she usually picks up something from one of the boutiques there. I think she got this from the Bailey Boys boutique...isn't it absolutely precious? It's thin corduroy, and it has Sailer's initials on it...she gave it to me today. I am in love with it! I will DEFINATELY get Jason to take pictures of her in it very soon!
She also got Noah a Bailey Boys outfit....this is the shirt. I will have to post a picture of the full outfit soon..it's adorable. It has khaki shorts to match and a sailboat belt. Noah looks so grown up in it..:)
Me and my girl :)
On Sunday evening, I took the kids to my parents...as always. We watched Noah swim AGAIN. It's perfect b/c both kids are content...Noah loves splashing and dunking himself in the water, and Sailer just loves to watch.
