Hi fellow bloggers! Hope you all are doing fantastic! We sure are at the Pendley house! We are praying & hoping and praying & hoping.....& praying & hoping....AND praying & hoping for FALL! And, I think we just may get some fall-like temps this week....now, that's cause for celebration! Fall is MY favorite time of year....I've got my harvest spice candles ready for burning as I type....and, I've already added a few new accessories to our family room....more orange, red and brown to set a perfect mood for FALL. I can't wait!
On another note, it's hard to believe that we are SIX WEEKS IN to the school year! Wow. That went by in the blink of an eye, huh? Both Noah & Sailer started school the week of August 16th, and it's been a "fly by the seat of your pants" type of experience ever since....kind of like an organized chaos....anyone relate? :) Anyway, I am so proud to report that Sailer is loving preschool...after all of the sweat (real sweat) and anxious moments I spent over the last 6 months wondering if she'd ever think anyone in this world was as cool to hang around as her mommy....lol :) Needless to say, she adores her teacher & she proudly walks in her class every Tuesday and Thursday carrying her bag all by herself...she has become quite the little independent girl. This girl is always surprising me! I tell ya....it's astonishing to imagine how reserved she was even 3 months ago...and, now how verbal & outgoing she is now. Of course, she's still our bashful baby, but she has A LOT of opinions about things....and, she voices them every opportunity she gets! That's our girl! Not to mention...she puts big brother in his place quite often....eek. Gotta work on the attitude Sailer...:) Let's see...what else? Well, there's Sailer's beloved gymnastics with Ms. Peggy, whom she loves, loves, loves (which means mommy does too!). Sailer is 100% dedicated to her gymnastics skills and she is an excellent student....a great listener. This past Friday, she was awarded her first ever certificate for mastering 3 skills....donkey kick, tick-tock, and circuit. Plus, she was the class leader! Way to go Sailer! We are SOOOO proud!
As for Noah.....I get choked up at even talking about homeschooling right now, b/c it was such a painstaking decision to make....really. I straddled the fence about it for awhile, simply b/c I was afraid of failure....of him not being happy, OR ME not being happy. I had....and, still do have So. Much. To. Learn. It wasn't until August that I was able to surrender my feelings of anxiety over to the Lord about this process of which I knew little about. How am I now? Absolutely 100% a homeschool supporter and believer! Noah's co-op program is Amazing. Truly Amazing. And, I've had a ball teaching him at home....I look forward to our Tuesdays/Thursday b/c I love teaching him! One of my favorite parts about homeschooling is the flexibility that I have to incorporate Godly character teaching into his lessons. Thus far, we've concentrated on Attentiveness, Obedience, becoming Teachable, and the value of being Orderly. We learn God's perspective on these things. We read His Word....we focus on it, and it permeates our lessons. These are the seeds that will fill his being forever. That is highly important to me. Now that we are six weeks in, we have successfully completed his 1st section of semester one. Woop! Although the curriculum is tough (it is all 1st grade curriculum, with the exception of Math), I am excited about the next 6 weeks, and my expectations are high...especially since I've seen him succeed and fall in love with school. Thank you ALL for your prayers and for asking about him along the way....I treasure all of you who remember us. Those prayers are heard, and I feel them...we are so happy & excited about all that this year will bring!
Well....I guess that's enough of an update.....although I want to thank my sweet hubby for constantly telling me how amazing of a wife and mother I am...even though I know I'm clearly NOT all of the time...but, he knows that I need encouragement and he's been there to provide it. Thank you Jason! And, thank you for 10 Fantastic and Crazy years as a married couple! We've been married a decade....wow! Can't wait to see where the Lord takes us in the next 10 years! I can't imagine being blessed anymore than we are now, but I also know that when one sacrifices & surrenders for the glory of God, the joy and peace that follows is so much more than we could ever wrap our minds around! That excites me more than anything!
Anyway....here are a couple of random pictures....I'm back to lugging around my purse camera with me wherever I go. It's not the greatest quality, but I just wanted to capture all of our fun experiences....never know what these kids are going to do, you know? :) Enjoy & God Bless!
Our pouty girl.....I hate to say it, but this is a "several times a day occurrence..." Eeek. It's so super cute though....she just sticks out her booty and her lip....lol.
Sailer sticks close to Noah during games....especially when he's on water break. She loves being his sister! And, she loves meeting new little friends....this little stud's name is Cash. He is such a doll!

The sweetest of girls waiting patiently for her friends for gymnastics class....she always asks for A-Belle (AnnaBelle) and Charlotte. They have such a blast!
Time for stretching and talking before getting started....aren't those little prissies adorable???
About two weeks ago, Sailer came along with me for a doctor's appt. I about fell out of my seat when she asked for cake and coffee when we approached Starbucks. I had to skip the drive-thru and go in for a treat! She loves the lemon loaf...just like her mommy! :)
And, of course, she offered to check my emails for me....thank you my sweet little assistant :)
Noah LOVES taking Sailer in to her class.....guess it makes him feel like such the big boy! If I wanted, I could probably just drop them both off and let him handle it all....of course, can't do that...lol. But, something tells me they'd be just fine :)
Before church....the mornings are starting to get crisp...slowly, but surely. We love it!
Sailer is always glad to help feed Noah's frogs...Princess and Chameleon. They do this together every Friday....
Ha! Well....Noah took this picture himself. Guess he didn't want me to miss blogging about his FIRST missing tooth! Yep...that's right...we're entering a fun little toothless stage..that I'm sure will last for the next 2 years or so. The tooth fairy was good to our boy....$5, a special letter for his memory book, and a small pack of M&M's...for a very good dental appointment!
Noah building his Bee....he just completed a unit on insects....very fun! Even I enjoyed that!
And...again, Sailer is always there to lend a helping hand...even to build Noah's lego trash truck..lol. I told ya...she barely leaves his side. I love every minute with these two!
