How Big Is YOUR God???

Hi Friends! Happy almost END of February!!!! How can it be that we are about to enter early Spring? My heart is SO happy! How grateful I am to be enjoying such beautiful weather in sunny Georgia! :-)

Anyway, hope this evening finds your family well & blessed! At the Pendley house, we've been rockin' and rollin' with new things...definitely making our Winter Break quite busy. We are in full potty-training mode with little Sailer....actually, she's practically trained herself...to my surprise...and hasn't turned back...ALTHOUGH...#2 is causing a bit of a "freak out..." :) We are still considering her "trained," especially since she is in her pretty little Minnie Mouse panties:) On another note, I've sank my heels (literally) into consigning Noah and Sailer's Spring clothes, so I am BUSY, BUSY with that...and quite frazzled...to be honest. It's tons of work...but, as Noah said..."Mom, you're gonna bring in the buck!" lol. Hope you're right, buddy... And, with a few homeschooling lessons here and there this week & my own crash course in the gigantic world of couponing, there is "stuff" scattered everywhere! NOT how I like it around here, but what am I to do when I have multiple projects in the works at the same time??? Oy. Organization, where are YOU????

So....in an effort to forget the mess, I must share a conversation I had with my sweet Noah this morning. Noah is currently studying bones, muscles, and joints for his Science co-op class. One of his favorite lessons by far! This morning, our lesson, which began as a journal writing on "what amazed him about bones and joints" turned into a full Bible lesson on creation....I feel as though I was truly able (through this God-given opportunity) to speak to Noah's heart about how he was created BY God and FOR God's work...His purpose. Noah asked some pretty amazing questions....

1. How big are God's ears? (Noah was wondering how God was able to hear ALL of his children pray to him at the same time....he said that God must have BIG ears!)

2. How can ONE God be in all kids' hearts?

3. How did God put our bones together? Is it magic???

4. How BIG is God?

5. What is God's job?

Friends...I cannot explain how intimidated I was from these questions....and AMAZED at Noah's thought process about Creation....so, in my intimidation, I turned directly to God's Word. We read the story of Creation from Noah's Bible, which I love. In a nutshell, I explained to Noah that God is a mighty God who is able to live in all of the hearts of those who choose to invite Him in...through His Spirit. And, we studied God's promise...to always hear us when we pray. Noah did most of the talking...I chose to listen..mainly hoping that the Holy Spirit would infuse wisdom within me to answer Noah's questions in such a way that he could understand and appreciate. One thing I have learned about Noah is that he internalizes information....and, I know that he'll be asking these questions again...or, at least bringing up this subject. Please pray that God will grant me wisdom and a special way to articulate answers to Noah....and, please pray that the Lord would speak to Noah's heart and give him wisdom as well.

It will be a truly magnificent day when our first born invites the Lord to be his Savior! I pray that Jason and I can continue to plant seeds that will manifest in Noah's heart and help him see that He needs Jesus in his life....if you feel moved to do so, please pray along with us...and, for all of the children of this future generation!

Have a wonderful night everyone!
