"Pool Bums" :)
Well, the summer has just begun, and already...we are "pool bums." We swim every single day and we are loving this beautiful sunny weather! I have to admit though...it's tough watching TWO kids around the pool. I am constantly paranoid that one of them is going to fall in...so, for this reason, one rule is for certain...Noah MUST have his water muscles on at ALL times, especially if I'm the only one watching them. He is really brave when it comes to swimming...just this afternoon, he decided to jump in the deep end WITHOUT his water muscles! AHHHH!!! I totally panicked...but, luckily, he SWAM to the edge. Completely surprised me, b/c we have only just started practicing with him...anyway..it almost gave me a heart attack! What am I to do with this boy????? Well...moving on...enjoy these pictures. My sis-n-law, Kristin, brought Noah and Sailer's first cousin, Maddie, over for her second attempt at swimming...she did great! In fact, she fell asleep on Sailer's float!!!

HOT Day in May!!!
Sadly, today was the last brown bag lunch concert day at the Marietta Square. These are held every Thursday in May and in September....this was only our second one, but we LOVED it...although it was brutally hot and muggy! All of the kids....Noah, Sailer, Charlotte, Marlee, Barrett, Walker, Brendan, Eleanor, Clare, Gabe, Nina, Brandon, Gavin, Lindsey, and Lorelai played until their hearts were content...or, at least until the mom's finally were given out! lol!
Noah loves climbing on the Choo-Choo...it's his favorite thing to do...well, except play in the fountain...

Memorial Day Memories...:)
So, as promised, I am posting some pics from our Memorial Day! We had a blast..although we had to dodge some rain clouds...it ended up being a perfect day for swimming! Yippee! We even got a little burned..:( And, by the way~I am perfectly aware that there is only ONE picture of Noah posted here. Truth be told...he is not as easy to photograph as Sailer, so we're going to have to work on that. He was having a BALL...being thrown into the pool by Uncle Shane and Uncle Chad...and, of course, jumping off of the diving board a million times. This child has NO fear, which scares his momma!!!!
Checking out the water for the first time....Sailer LOVED the pool and was quite content in her float for a couple of hours...seriously! From time to time, I'd take her out and let her kick her little chubby legs, which she loved! Honestly, I believe that she was so entertained by Noah and boys.....so, it helped her remain content for a long time....

Life is such a joy right now in the Pendley household! :) If you've kept up with our blog, you'll know that I've had to make a very difficult decision lately about continuing with school VS. putting it off/NOT returning to school. Now that I've found my moment of peace in God's answer for my life (at least for now), I've found a new joy with Jason, Noah, & Sailer. It's such a relief...and, just in time for summer! I hope you all enjoy these pictures...they will give you a glimpse into our day-to-day life...as the kids hang at home and play. Noah and Sailer are SOOOO very different, as you may expect. Noah is Mr. Independent, loud, extremely loving & sensitive, and 150% BOY! Sailer, on the other hand, is Ms. Sassy Pants, private, serious, and a true cuddle bug. One minute, I'm taking pictures of bugs for Noah and growling like a dinosaur.....then, the next, I'm reading Princess books with Sailer and putting new bows in her adorable little curls....it's so fun...but VERY different. Anyway~ hope you guys enjoy, and check back for Memorial Day pics...they are on a different camera, so I hope to upload those soon!
For my mom's birthday, the kids and I surprised her at work for lunch!~I think it made her day..to say the least. She truly adores her two grandchildren :)
When I cannot find Sailer, this is most likely what she will be doing...playing with her baby Cinderella doll. It's very sweet, and it reminds me of myself YEARS ago. I was a babydoll fanatic!

Remember me mentioning how different Noah and Sailer are? Well....this is what Sailer brought me the other day...a nasty rubber fly! GROSS!!!!!!! Obviously, this is Noah's toy!
And, just because he's a boy...doesn't mean he cares less about the way his hair looks. After his nap the other day, he decided to use my hairdryer...he said that his hair looked crazy! Haha! I couldn't help but laugh...Thursday, May 21, 2009
Go Braves!!!
A few nights ago, we took the kids to our first Braves game of the season...at least, we HOPE it's not our last. We love going to the games, and we were very excited to take Sailer for the first time. This was Noah's 2nd game, so we were surprised to learn how much he truly loved the game! He was on the edge of his seat the whole time, and he did the cutest tom-a-hawk chop ever! lol! Sailer also loved the game. Every time the Braves got a base hit, the crowd went wild...so, Sailer would throw down her cup and start clapping and tap-dancing....that's her new thing. We'll have to record it so that you all can see her new dancing skill. Anyway, here's a view of the field from our seats...
