A Few Updates....

This past weekend, I hosted a baby shower for my sis-n-law, along with my mother-n-law and Laura. It was beautiful! I LOVE planning, hosting, and anything to do with parties! We are looking forward to welcoming Noah and Sailer's first cousin, Madison Grace "Maddie" in January! Not much longer! :)

Starting Early...

Noah talked Jason into picking up a small Christmas tree for his room...all he wanted on it were red beads, but Jason got some silver and red ornaments too! It's kinda strange to see a Christmas tree already lit in the house, but I really love it! This is my favorite time of year! Sailer also enjoyed the tree...mainly pulling on it and trying to eat it! :)

Figuring Things Out...

Sailer has been so cute lately with all of her little "pre-crawling positions." For the most part, she stays put, but she loves to get on "all fours" and pretend like she's going to go somewhere... These pics were taken this morning after we took Noah to get his hair cut...she was in a very giddy mood....rolling and rocking and sitting up smiling. I love it!

Sailer's New Skill...

Let's face it...perfecting a new skill can be very frustrating... Sailer started pulling up...TODAY. I am SO NOT ready for this! She is not even crawling yet!
She kept pulling up...first onto her knees...then slowly up on her feet. I couldn't believe my eyes! Then, she kept falling....and, let me say it was a HARD fall. So, then, she'd get SO upset and start to cry.....hence the first picture. By the way, if you look closely, you can see her first tooth on the bottom...so cute! We're waiting for the next one to break through any day now! :)

Halloween & A Birthday Party!

This year, we did something that we haven't done before...we mixed a family Halloween party with Aunt Kristin's birthday party! It was SOOOO fun! It was also a big year for Noah and Sailer b/c it was Noah's first time actually going "door to door" (we do not live in a subdivision), and it was Sailer's 1st Halloween! They both did great and had a blast!
Since Chad and Kristin just moved into their new home, we had the party there and it was great! We know they enjoyed entertaining in their new home!
Our favorite cake lady, Ms. Melanie, did an AMAZING cake for Kristin's birthday! It was a birthday/Halloween mix with a pregnant lady sitting on top (Kristin is 29 weeks preggo!), so it was very appropriate! I am convinced that Melanie can do ANYTHING...she always makes the best cakes for every occasion!
It was a SUPER great Halloween for our angel and our pirate buccaneer!

Before it got too chilly, we took some pics outside....Emma and Claire Jordan stopped by for awhile too! It was great! Noah was on cloud 9! He had been talking all week about his pirate costume...his clip-on earring cracked us up! He loved all of his garb! :) And, Sailer just looked like the sweetest angel to me....I'm a little biased of course! I feel so blessed to be able to shop for boy AND girl costumes! It was SOOOO fun! :)

Sailer was an angel this year....she had my heart! She is precious! She did SO well, and enjoyed every minute of her first Halloween!

Pre-Halloween Fun!

A couple nights before Halloween, Jason, Noah, and Sailer carved our pumpkin (Sailer just watched...of course!)....we think our pumpkin was so cute this year! On Halloween day, I gave the kids a bath TOGETHER for the first time! What an experience! I lectured Noah beforehand about splashing and being too crazy in the water....blah, blah, blah. And, WHO was the crazy one? Ms. Sailer!!! She was SOOOO excited...she splashed Noah and acted all sorts of crazy in that bath tub! So, I had to snap a quick picture! There were many more, but I couldn't include them on the blog b/c Noah didn't quite grasp the concept of "covering himself up." Hehe!
