Five!!!

Wow! I cannot believe I have a FIVE year old! Remember how monumental the first b/day is? In my opinion, the 5th b/day is comparable.......Seriously, 5 is the beginning of a whole new world for our children....and, even though I see Noah everyday, he looks different to me....he has somewhat of a distinguished look about him..if you will. He is as independent as ever. His interests have changed. His thought process is complex. His perspective on things, situations, and ideas has changed. He wants to save the world (wow...don't you admire such ambition?). He is prideful. He is protective. He is responsible and genuinely likes having responsibilities....thank you Jesus for that! He's just a Joy! Pure Joy! We adore him...of course. He is the perfect first-born child for me. Everything I've learned about being a mother has been through my experiences with this sweet boy, so he will always, always occupy a special part of my heart for that. And, for those of you that wonder how you love 2 children the same? The answer is....you don't. You love them differently with the same intensity.

In honor of Noah turning FIVE, we had a special super-hero b/day bash for him, which included all of his favorite buddies and sweet girls, a fun obstacle course, plenty of sunshine, snacks, and a cake to represent all of his loves in his favorite colors...red, blue, and yellow :) As always, we had a blast....even in the extreme summertime heat. I just love this boy of mine!

Then, at my request (and also b/c we didn't get many pics of Noah at his party), Jason took some sweet pictures of Noah (and a few of Sailer) at Brumby Gardens.....it is unbelievable how much older Noah looks....especially with his new "big boy" haircut...sigh....tear....:(

You'll see a few pics of Noah's Vacation Bible School Closing Program below as well. This was Noah's very FIRST VBX. Wow! What a week! The theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch....so, all of the crafts and activities were "ranch-related." So cool! Right up Noah's alley! He was the most precious little performer on that stage...especially when he pretended he was using a lasso! lol! Too funny! And, the cowboy/sheriff hat, bandana, and white western shirt was the cherry on top!

And, lastly, you'll see a couple pictures of Sailer in her blue leotard right before gymnastics class! She began 2 weeks ago at GAA, and she L-O-V-E-S it, which is a huge deal, b/c it requires NO parent participation....and, she's been perfectly fine allowing me to watch her through the glass (with the exception of a few tears the first class). It is difficult to get pictures of her during class, but I'll do my best for my next post...in fact, Noah has also started gymnastics at GAA, so I will try to snap some pictures from his class too. For now, I have them enrolled in a summer session....we'll see what the Fall brings, but, so far, so great! Enjoy the pics!!!
Two sweet little shadows in a beautiful sunset on a perfect weekend!!!!
So grown up!!!!

Chasing Noah!!!!

Lovin' on each other!!!
I love that little dimple smile!
I'm FIVE!!!!
Trying NOT to smile....but, mommy is soooo funny & I lost this battle....
Crackin' up!
Wild & Free is All She Can Be!!!!
I love how Noah's lookin' at sissy here....
I can be bashful....
....but, I promise you...I know how to pose:)
Happy Birthday Noah!!!
Sweaty & flushed, but oh so Happy!!!!
Best Friends~ Sailer & Charlotte:)
Perhaps Noah's BEST b/day present by far!!!! lol! (Sailer was NOT a fan of this idea!)
Sweet little girl.....warming up to the camera....slowly, but surely....

I've been putting Sailer's hair up a lot lately...but, it's no easy task. She has so much new growth underneath and on the sides, so it's anything but smooth.....it's still fun to play with though!
Now, isn't this the most hip 5 year old ever???? lol! I didn't realize he would rock the fake aviators....lol! He's too much! He was so pumped to sing and dance for us!
At times, Noah thinks he's too cool for Sailer....this was one of those times! lol!
This was our view....it took us forever to find Noah, but we did!!!!
See him here? He's behind the little girl in navy blue...it was an amazingly fun performance! 78 children came to know the Lord this week....ages K-5th grade. What a great God we serve!!!
