Atlanta Zoo '09

Our summer would not be complete without a trip to the Atlanta Zoo. We love it there! This time, we met our friends, the Langhans, there. It is so much MORE fun with friends! We adore them, and it was quite entertaining to see how much the kids enjoyed each exhibit. There are lots of pictures below...:)
ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!! **Noah wouldn't make a very intimidating lion..he's far too nice. :)
Me sweet girl & I...this is Sailer's "silly face" :)

Charlotte & Sailer having a conversation....how precious is this?????

Silly girl!

Sailer with her daddy....

Playing in an BIG bird's nest...

This cracks me up! It looks like Sailer's saying..."Grrrrrrrrr!"

Our family....

Us with the Langhans....sooooo excited that Stephen and Jason were off on the same day so we could all go together...his schedule is as tricky as Jason's...

Riding the carousel....honestly, Sailer really didn't want to ride the carousel, so we thought that putting her and Charlotte together would help her warm up to the idea...it lasted for a second, but she ended up riding with Jason....

Having the time of his life!

See? She's fine now!!!! All smiles!

Next, we rode the choo-choo...notice how yucky and sweaty and flushed we all look??? Well...at this point, we had been at the zoo for about FIVE hours...so, we were WORN out! We had a fantastic time though...the kids perservered straight through their naptimes, and didn't fuss a bit...we are very lucky :)

Poor Sailer...looking oh, so sleepy!

LOVE this picture...Charlotte & her daddy :)

After riding the train, we took the kids to the petting zoo to meet the goats, pigs, and sheep face to face....literally. Lindsey and I were a little hesistant about letting the girls walk around freely, but we kept a close eye on them. They did great! I wish I had a video of Sailer...she was hilarious! She would walk up to the animals, poke them or tap them, and then walk backwards really fast in an effort to "get away..." Really, when you think about it...this was a smart move...it was the cutest thing..:)

Charlotte pointing at the piggy's feet....which were pretty nasty. Why is it that in children's books, pigs always look nice and pink and clean? In real life, they are disgusting! Really! Their hair is wiry, and they are FAR from cuddly....

This picture doesn't surprise me at all....Noah is the most loving soul...even to the most smelly animals....I think he even kissed this goat! Blah!

Some Of God's Beautiful Creations...

These are some of the amazing animals that we saw on our trip to the Zoo....I LOVE animals...I always have. The zoo was truly just as much fun for us adults as it was for Noah, Sailer, & Charlotte....we can't wait to go back! Enjoy!

My favorite picture by far! In fact, my favorite exhibit was the lion exhibit...last year, when Jason and I took the kids for the first time, the lions stayed in their cave the whole time...we never saw them..:( This time, however, they were very active...playing, frolicking, and proudly roaring (which was a bit scary!) for us...they are beautiful creatures.

The two male cubs...

What a life...wish I could lounge on a hammock all day!

A Weekend Wedding To Remember...

Hi Friends! Our family is still recovering from a super duper crazy busy weekend, but I am excited to share some pictures with you all! One of my dear friends, Beth Cantrell (now Parker), got married this weekend at First Baptist Church in Marietta. It was extraordinary! It was truly an honor to be one of her bridesmaids, and it was even more special b/c our Noah was the ring bearer. Let me just tell you...he was the sweetest ever! And, yes, I'm a little biased, I know, but I am the proudest momma right now, especially b/c he wasn't able to take a nap at all this whole weekend...and, yet, he did fabulous, and had the best manners and disposition. He was truly a little gentleman :) A short caption is included under each picture...they are in no particular order....
Noah and beautiful Emma Kate (flower girl) riding the Marietta Trolley to the reception at the Marietta Country Club....they met for the first time, and it was love at first sight...haha! They were tooooo sweet together..:)
Jason & Sailer at the reception....thank goodness for Jason this weekend! He was able to stay with Sailer while Noah and I ran all of our errands and prepared for the wedding...he is the best husband and father!!!

My baby girl sitting on the green outside of the reception hall....it was a GORGEOUS evening...no humidity...crisp, clean air...it reminded me of my wedding day in mid-September...

I can't believe how grown up he looks...

Emma Kate & Noah hanging out in the bridal parlor before the wedding began....

He looks like a little man here! I can't handle it...really...it makes me sad!

Noah and I with the beautiful bride-to-be....
If you don't know Beth, you're missing out! She is a HOOT! I love her truly!!!! She's a great gal!!!

Um....Michael Jackson who????? Noah broke it DOWN!!!

My sweet girl...this picture was taken as she was waiting in the reception hall for the bridal party to arrive. I had barely seen her all day, and the huge smile on her face when she finally saw me melted my heart! I couldn't wait to see her!!!!
My babes...:)

Sailer was happiest on the dance floor...my kids definitely are naturals when it comes to movin' and shakin'! :)

Two perfect 4 year olds....

My favorite picture of Noah....

The kids and I with Beth at the reception! Didn't she look so beautiful????

Emma Kate & Noah being introduced at the reception....hand in hand...sooo sweet!
Beautiful table arrangement....I am one to look at details, and let me just say that the details put into this wedding were unbelievable...right down to the sash of our bridesmaid gown...it was perfect!

Thank goodness for my mom for feeding Sailer for me....she loves her Nene!
Emma Kate & Noah gazing through the double doors at the reception hall waiting for Beth and Nathan to arrive....

Hopefully, I will be able to post a link to Beth and Nathan's professional pictures within the next month...their photographer was AWESOME...he became Jason's little buddy for the night..hehe! Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Nathan Parker!!!!! Hope ya'll have fun in ARUBA!!!!
