Atlanta Zoo '09

Our summer would not be complete without a trip to the Atlanta Zoo. We love it there! This time, we met our friends, the Langhans, there. It is so much MORE fun with friends! We adore them, and it was quite entertaining to see how much the kids enjoyed each exhibit. There are lots of pictures below...:)
ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!! **Noah wouldn't make a very intimidating lion..he's far too nice. :)
Me sweet girl & I...this is Sailer's "silly face" :)

Charlotte & Sailer having a conversation....how precious is this?????

Silly girl!

Sailer with her daddy....

Playing in an BIG bird's nest...

This cracks me up! It looks like Sailer's saying..."Grrrrrrrrr!"

Our family....

Us with the Langhans....sooooo excited that Stephen and Jason were off on the same day so we could all go together...his schedule is as tricky as Jason's...

Riding the carousel....honestly, Sailer really didn't want to ride the carousel, so we thought that putting her and Charlotte together would help her warm up to the idea...it lasted for a second, but she ended up riding with Jason....

Having the time of his life!

See? She's fine now!!!! All smiles!

Next, we rode the choo-choo...notice how yucky and sweaty and flushed we all look??? Well...at this point, we had been at the zoo for about FIVE hours...so, we were WORN out! We had a fantastic time though...the kids perservered straight through their naptimes, and didn't fuss a bit...we are very lucky :)

Poor Sailer...looking oh, so sleepy!

LOVE this picture...Charlotte & her daddy :)

After riding the train, we took the kids to the petting zoo to meet the goats, pigs, and sheep face to face....literally. Lindsey and I were a little hesistant about letting the girls walk around freely, but we kept a close eye on them. They did great! I wish I had a video of Sailer...she was hilarious! She would walk up to the animals, poke them or tap them, and then walk backwards really fast in an effort to "get away..." Really, when you think about it...this was a smart move...it was the cutest thing..:)

Charlotte pointing at the piggy's feet....which were pretty nasty. Why is it that in children's books, pigs always look nice and pink and clean? In real life, they are disgusting! Really! Their hair is wiry, and they are FAR from cuddly....

This picture doesn't surprise me at all....Noah is the most loving soul...even to the most smelly animals....I think he even kissed this goat! Blah!
