A Few New Pics...

You all know that we LOVE photography...well, we just upgraded our camera to the Nikon D80, and if anyone is in the market for a good camera, it's one of the best! Jason also got this new lense, and he decided to try it out using a soft light for an added effect (It's one of those things he learned in an online photography class). So, here are a couple of Noah. I know...I am behind on adding pics of Sailer...I'm working on it, PROMISE!

I sent an email to several of our friends & family about Jason's photography sessions....so most of you have probably already seen these pictures in Jason's Smugmug portfolio.

I have added a link to Jason's portfolio on the link list to the right. Check it out! We are very excited about this opportunity...most of all, we are looking forward to how much FUN we will have.

Interested? Questions? Email me at jspendley21@yahoo.com.

Thanks to all of you who the amazing feedback and sweet emails about the pics and the opportunity to work with some of you! :)

Noah's Spring School Portraits :)

Yesterday, when I picked up Noah from school, I received 2 proofs of his Spring School Portraits....I couldn't help but laugh b/c they are SO adorable and SOOOO Noah! When he gets timid, he sticks out his tongue and shrugs his shoulders, yet he is still such a ham! I couldn't believe how big he looks...especially compared to his fall portrait. These are the 2 proofs that I received...I think I am going to order the first one, but the second is cute too....I don't know. Just wanted to share.... By the way, he also got his first class photo made, and I saw it briefly at school, but the parents didn't get to bring a proof of it home yet. I will post it after I order a print of it...it is SO cute! It's his first official class photo! Can't wait to show you all!

Life With A Newborn...The Latest....

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all are doing wonderful! Just wanted to give a quick update on our family's transition and welcoming Sailer. She will be 3 weeks old on Wednesday, and we are enjoying her so much! Noah's transition has been super smooth....he LOVES having Sailer around, and he always wants to wake her up when she's napping...:) It's almost scary how easy this transition has been for us...I almost hesitate to speak too soon, but I know that God has blessed this time for us...much prayer has been put into Sailer's arrival over the past few months.
Noah is ALMOST completely potty-trained....I am SO PROUD of him! He actually has not worn pull-ups for 6 weeks now, but he is still learning to "poop" in the potty. He has had the "pee-pee" thing down pat for a month. It is SO NICE not buying pull-ups or having to mess with that...given that I now am starting over with a newborn. He even goes potty by himself...he won't let me go with him, so I've had to learn to trust him that he will clean up after himself and wash his hands. Over the weekend, he did "poop" twice in the potty, so I think he's on his way....sorry if this is too much information for some of you, but I'm excited! So, wish us luck!
As for Sailer and I, I am nursing and so excited that it is going so well..(Noah never latched on, so I did not nurse him). One thing I have learned with nursing though is how time consuming it can be, and how DEMANDING a hungry baby can be when it is time to eat. I am nursing about 10 times a day, which seems crazy....it is hard to believe that I have time for anything else, but it all seems to work out. One of my favorite things to do right now is play with the kids in Noah's playroom...of course, Sailer just lays on her blanket while I read aloud to her and Noah. She actually is attentive and listens...until she drifts off to sleep OR wants to eat again. What a life!
Anyway, just wanted to bring you all up to speed on how things are going...apparently, Sailer is about to have her first growth spurt at 3 weeks, so I may be feeding her more often...if that's possible....so, anyone with any advice on how that may go, PLEASE comment! I love hearing advice from all of my friends...you are the real experts b/c you are living this life just like I am! Take care! :)

Sailer's First Hairbow :)

Today, I tagged along with my brother as he got his hair cut, and momma bought me my first hairbow....she is VERY happy about it, but as you can see, I was not very amused.....YET. I was even too sleepy to notice when the woman at the salon brushed my hair and put my new bow in.......oh, well....I'm sure I'll appreciate it at some point. By the way, I am 2 weeks old TODAY! Can you believe it? Momma thinks I've already grown so much!

Precious....
So Cute!!! Girls are so much fun!

Fun With Layla!

Our friends, Jason and Aimee Thurmond, visited last night, and it was a great chance for us to get our kids and new babies together! Aimee and I had fun...as always...talking about our deliveries and our new bundles of joy! :) Noah and Layla visited my in-laws next door for awhile to play on the "choo-choo" and the bouncer. So, Aimee and I had some time with the babes...:) We always say...we are so thankful for these times b/c Noah and Layla play SO WELL together. Noah is 8 months older than Layla, but it doesn't seem to matter...They entertain each other and wear each other out...:) They are quite the entertainers as well...we are always laughing! It was a good time!

Sweet Layla....she REALLY likes Curious George, and she had the cutest little shirt on....she is growing up so fast!

Sailer Meets Tanner :)

We sure did have fun getting these two together! We had been planning this for awhile...Sailer and Tanner are 25 days apart...he was born March 1st, and Sailer...March 26th. I can't believe both babies remained alert enough during these pictures....Sailer was very hungry! As you can see, she is "rooting" in the black/white pic!

Tanner is the serious one....always concentrating....
Precious Faces... New mommies and babies! We are so happy!

Hi! ~Love, Noah :)

Hi Everyone! Hope you love the new blog just as much as we do! Can't wait for you all to meet my baby sister...she is so sweet and cute! I love her, and I am going to be a TERRIFIC big brother!

Anniston Sailer Pendley "Our Angel"

Sleeping Beauty...

Welcome Sailer!

So, here are the pictures that I have for Sailer's room so far...I couldn't wait any longer to post some, although I'm still searching for an area rug for her room. I think that may be the final touch to bring everything together...Oh! And, we have a plan for her closet space, but we are still ironing out the details on that one. We think she may need a dress cabinet, but we know that we can wait on that for now....enjoy!

**Just a note...the baby shown in the picture frame resting on the shelf is not Sailer...Sailer was not here when we took this picture :)
The picture above Sailer's crib is very sentimental to me b/c my mother-n-law gave it to me years ago b/c she said it reminded her of me, so now, it is all the more special to be displaying it in my daughter's room. Who would have ever known?
Sailer will sleep like a princess here, don't you think?

Baby Sister Sailer...

Here's Sailer with her daddy hanging out in mommy's hospital room...this is the onesie that I got made for her to wear...of course, it had to be rhinestones...."Baby Sister Sailer"

A Visit From Sailer's Big Brother :)

Aren't these pics precious? On the day we got discharged, we spent some final moments in our hospital room with Noah and Sailer....this is the pink Strasburg gown that Dede got for her to come home in...it is newborn size, but still huge on her little body. Can't you see how much Noah adores her? It is unbelievable to me...he hogs her already! :)

One of the FEW times we've actually gotten Sailer to try a pacifier...she is not a fan at all! (I guess that could be a good thing!)
Noah favorite sayings about his sister are...."Sissy is sweet," "Sissy's hair is soft," and "Sissy is cute!" And, one more...when Sailer has hiccups, Noah says..."Oh..momma...sissy has hiccups!" And, then he laughs...it's so adorable! One last thing that he says is..."Sissy, I got you!" He does this when he is trying to settle her down during diaper changes, which is really the only time she cries....
Holding sissy's little hands...
