Our Baby Girl Turns 10 Months Old...

So, here is my one post for the month! :) Sorry...I'm not doing very well with posting, but with two kids and school, it's hard! Enough excuses....yesterday, Sailer turned 10 months old! I simply cannot believe it! It goes by so much faster the second time around. Sailer is now a little over 18 pounds, and she is in the 50th percentile for head circumference, height, and weight, so I guess we can say that she is "average" in size. In fact, in the pics below, this is the gown that she came home from the hospital in! It's a NEWBORN size! It's crazy, but I'm glad that she is getting some more wear out of it....:)

Sailer is such a joy to have in our home....she is our "serious girl." She is clearly a thinker....though she has some silly moments. Overall, though, she saves those for us, and it's rare that anyone else sees her in her "silly mood." She has only TWO teeth..which is hard to believe b/c Noah had at least 5 at this age. She LOVES to eat, and is almost completely on solid foods! One thing that I'm enjoying so much is dressing her and fixing her hair! Hehe! It's amazing at how many bows this girl has at her tender age...:) I love playing with her little curls and smelling her after a warm bath....she melts me! She is truly a momma's girl...I love how she lights up when I enter a room! Noah never did this...he wasn't attached at all. He's extremely independent, so this is new to me. Sailer is my little sidekick...I cannot wait for all of the fun mommy/daughter times that we have ahead!

As far as physical stuff, she is standing on her own, but has NO interest in taking steps or cruising. What can I say? She is taking her sweet time, and that is perfectly fine with me. Noah started walking at 9 months, so I'm not rushing her at all.

Anyway, hope all of my blogger friends and family are doing well, and having a great start to 2009! We love you all! Enjoy! :)

Of course, Sailer's daddy took these pictures, which will be added to his latest portfolio!

Meeting Maddie :)

Whew...we have had a whirlwind weekend....this past Friday, we spent the entire evening waiting at the hospital for Noah and Sailer's first cousin, Madison Grace (Maddie), to be born. Finally, at 8:30 p.m., Maddie made her arrival via c-section....she was a big girl! 8 pounds, 2 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long (which were my exact measurements as a baby...so I'll never forget Maddie's). Noah and Sailer stayed up until 10 p.m. waiting at the hospital for their cousin, so we will have a great story to tell her one day! These pictures below were taken a few days after Maddie's birth when we visited her at home. Noah is so doting and affectionate with Maddie, and he LOVES babies. After all, he's had plenty of practice with Sailer :) As for Sailer, she was clueless about Maddie being here, but one day, I'm sure they'll be partners in crime :) They are only 10 months apart, so this should be fun!!!

Monster Jam!!!

A few weekends ago, Jason took Noah to his very first Monster Jam Truck show! It was the PERFECT way to start the New Year with Noah! He LOVED it, and didn't seem to mind how loud it was. He wore his ear plugs, and sat in amazement the whole time! I think it was really good daddy/son time for Jason and Noah. Sailer and I enjoyed our quiet evening visiting with my mom....I am so happy to have a little girl to spend my evenings with when Jason and Noah do their "boy things." :)

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone! Today, we spent some time with my parents just relaxing...and eating, of course. Jason had to work for half a day, but was able to meet us. Here are Jason and the kids watching UGA football! Go Dawgs! Don't the kids look excited? Ha!

My bestest buddy!

My Favorite little girl!

Me & Jase...for once, Noah REALLY wanted to be included in a picture, so we humored him..:) By the way, if you look close, you'll notice that Jason FINALLY got his cast removed. Now, he's in a temporary splint that allows him to wash his hand (thank goodness!) and practice simple movements. He also began his physical therapy to gain motor control, etc. again.
Also...a quick story...as Jason sat at the orthopedic office, he sat next to Lex Luger! Remember? The Wrestler? Anyway, Jason spoke with him a little bit, and Lex said that he was being treated with severe muscular atrophy from being on steroids for so long...ugh. Jason said that he had to have assistance when walking!
One more thing....Jason's doctor told him that his hand looked absolutely fantastic, and that it was healing wonderfully. He said...."Have you been practicing any hand movements to strengthen your hand?" Reluctantly, Jason said...."Well...the ONLY thing that I've done consistently in the last week is play playstation 3!" Surprisingly, the doctor said...."You know, you're the second person that has told me about how playing playstation has been a good source of physical therapy!" WHAT????? So...of course, Jason said, "Can you write me a prescription for that?" Ha....I can't believe this. I may have to visit this doctor myself! :)

New Year's Eve...

Seriously...we ate ALL DAY LONG on New Year's Eve....here we are the evening of New Year's at Taki with Uncle Chad and Aunt Kristin....
Earlier that day, we met up with Sara, Emma, and Claire at Panera for lunch...it was SO MUCH FUN! Here are Sailer and Claire...who are five months and one day apart...Claire just turned ONE in October.
Here are Noah and Emma...who are 7 weeks apart...Emma was really Noah's very first friend...they met when they were 4 months old! They get along great! This isn't the best picture, but we hope to get these two together more often, so maybe there will be more pics to come....

Loving Their Christmas Gifts...

Noah and Sailer have truly been having a BALL these last few days, so I've decided to post a few pics of their favorite toys....
Noah and Sailer cuddling before bedtime...they are so cute!
Sailer and her "ruffle tush" playing in her Crawl-n-Cruise toy..it's one of her favorites!

Noah's Spikey dinosaur...yes, he has named it. It's name is actually "Spike," but Noah likes the name Spikey better. He tells me when it is asleep, and he tells me to be quiet when Spikey is napping. When his battery needs recharging, Noah lays him on his back and rubs his belly b/c he thinks Jason is hurting Spikey by removing his battery. It's really scary....he thinks this dinosaur is REAL.

I thought this picture was funny b/c Sailer has her Pretty Learning Purse beside her, but she's playing with Noah's toys...:) Hmmm....maybe that's b/c Noah filled her purse with all of them! He's so funny..he likes to hide things where they do NOT belong..

Sailer quickly attached to her first babydoll....I wonder how many pictures I'll be taking in the future of her holding a doll???
**By the way, you'll notice in all of these pics that Sailer is always looking away at something....it's the TV! She LOVES baby Einstein!

More Playing...

Noah LOVES this Handy Manny truck...it's really neat..it opens up into a tool station on one side, and on the other side, the front hood opens so that he can learn to repair a sparkplug, fan, etc. He's really learned a great deal from this tool! His future wife will be grateful...:)
I love her curls! It's hard to tell what her hair will do at this point, but right now, I am loving it! It's natural and fluffy! :)

I call this thing the wacky guy....not sure what "it" is, but Sailer loves it, and she seems fascinated with it.

Watching her big brother ride his bike....

Off he goes! Noah is a pro at riding his bike (probably b/c he rode it down the aisles every single time we stepped into Wal-mart or Target..:) By the way, we DO have safety gear for him to wear, but he didn't want to wear it for his picture! Glad he was careful!
